He sounds too much like a sportscaster
Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts make my Monday nights as they broadcast the NFL games on the Westwood One radio network. They give the games a certain flavor and zest I can almost taste. But Kevin Harlan certainly does sound like a sportscaster. Maybe a little too much like a sportscaster. But its understandable because that is what he is: a sportscaster.
His voice is deep and has a rich, mellow timbre to it. He makes every play exciting or at least tries to since nobody can see what is happening. They depend on him to tell them what is happening. A play by Philip Rivers from four seasons ago was particularly a memorable one because of the way he described it. There was also a pass reception by DeSean Jackson three seasons ago that was described perfectly by Harlan. He included Jackson as the receiver, where he caught it, how he caught it and how much time was left in the game. This one’s for you Kevin Harlan for being the best voice on the radio when it comes to broadcasting National Football League games.
